Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSA) Elbe-Nordsee in Cuxhaven by managing and maintaining their IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, operation, and adaptation of servers and operating systems within a Microsoft environment, including migrating the existing Windows Server landscape to W2022. Daily tasks include managing central resources and services, implementing IT security measures, and providing user support and documentation. This is a two-year fixed-term contract requiring a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, strong technical skills in Microsoft products (Windows Server, Active Directory), and proficiency in both German (C1) and English (B1). This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the goals of the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration within a large federal network.

Experience
- Professional experience in IT systems administration (implied by required knowledge)
- Experience with Microsoft product environments (Windows Server, Active Directory)

- Two-year fixed-term contract. Location is Cuxhaven, Germany. Only external applicants who are currently tariff employees (Tarifbeschäftigte) are eligible to apply; external civil servants are not eligible due to lack of an available permanent position.
