Job Summary

This is a key leadership role focusing on the technical, organizational, and personnel management of a team of approximately 15 specialists and IT experts, distributed across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic topics and core business processes within the BARMER.KI department. Day-to-day activities include overseeing the implementation and production operation of critical AI projects (Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI), ensuring KPIs are met, and utilizing central Cloud Services (AWS). A core focus is resource coordination with agile project teams, DevOps squads, and external staff. The ideal candidate possesses leadership experience in agile environments, a strong technical background in AI and Cloud technologies, and the ability to foster a collaborative, goal-oriented team culture while ensuring compliance with standards in development, data protection, and security.
