Job Summary

This role is perfect for a Junior Penetration Tester looking to join the Security Operations Center (SOC) of a major German public pension fund, focusing on both proactive security measures and incident response. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting and executing penetration tests on internal infrastructure (Linux/Windows) and web applications, verifying and retesting external penetration test results, and meticulously documenting findings with actionable recommendations. Key requirements include a university degree or vocational training in IT/IT security, coupled with initial professional experience, especially in penetration testing or ethical hacking. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication are essential. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma/FH or equivalent) in IT/IT Security or successfully completed vocational training in the IT sector. Certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or comparable qualifications are ideal.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in IT/IT security or comparable qualifications with long-term professional experience in the IT environment
  • First professional experience in Penetration Testing or ethical hacking (Ideally)
  • Experience with verification and retesting of security findings

Additional

  • Must be willing to participate in on-call duty and work outside of regular hours (e.g., weekends) in urgent cases. Must pass a security clearance check (§ 9 SÜG) without resulting in a security risk.
