Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join an intercultural team dedicated to digitizing services for citizens, customers, and enterprises. The role involves hands-on development of modern, responsive web applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript. You will be responsible for ensuring clean code, high security, and optimal performance, working closely with product and design teams to implement high-quality features. A key focus is optimizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), conducting code reviews, and implementing innovative testing methods. Candidates must bring at least five years of professional experience in full-stack or specialized web-based development, coupled with expertise in technologies like Docker, REST APIs, and Agile tools (Scrum, Jira, Confluence). The position offers excellent work-life balance through a flexible home office model (up to 100% remote within Germany), 30 days of annual leave, and strong support for continuous learning and professional growth.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or vocational training with comparable professional experience
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Frontend, Backend, or Full-stack development (web-based solutions)
- Experience in technical or disciplinary leadership, speaking at conferences, or contributing to open-source projects

- Employment contract is permanent (unlimited duration). Ability to work remotely (up to 100% home office) is restricted to candidates residing within Germany.
