Job Summary

This Senior Professional System Engineer role, based within the Application Security Competence Center (ASCC) of Germany's Federal Employment Agency (BA) IT System House, involves taking a central role in the strategic planning, control, and implementation of IT security measures for applications and software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting IT security training for developers and security officers, initiating and supervising penetration tests, hackathons, and application security workshops, and advising projects on secure software development. The role also involves supporting critical infrastructure (KRITIS) procedures, ensuring compliance with legal security requirements, and administering security tools provided by the ASCC. Candidates must possess a university degree (preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics) and several years of relevant professional experience, particularly in security architectures, secure programming, and threat analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work up to 80% remotely and contribute significantly to safeguarding one of Germany's largest IT landscapes.
