Job Summary

This role involves working within the IT-Systemhaus of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) as a Specialist System Engineer, focusing primarily on the planning, development, and operation of large-scale monitoring systems. You will be instrumental in managing one of Germany's largest IT landscapes, specifically within the Logfile and Metric Monitoring product team. Key responsibilities include planning and ensuring the operation of a Logfile Monitoring system based on the Elastic Stack, actively contributing to the development of a Metric Monitoring system for infrastructure surveillance, and maintaining system availability and security. The ideal candidate possesses a university degree or equivalent, several years of relevant professional experience, and deep knowledge of Linux server systems, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge IT Operations Management (ITOM) projects, including the implementation of ServiceNow Suite, with the flexibility of up to 80% remote work, though weekly presence in Nuremberg is required for coordination.
