Job Summary

This role involves working as a Forensic Assistant within the Federal Criminal Police Office's (BKA) Forensic Institute, specifically focusing on the analysis of organic material and microtraces. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing forensic investigations, such as sample preparation and analysis of evidence like plastic-based samples, ballpoint pen ink, and anti-robbery dyes, using modern analytical techniques. The assistant will document results for expert reports, maintain and expand specialized databases, and technically support analytical systems. This position requires a certified Chemical-Technical Assistant qualification and the willingness to handle hazardous substances, contributing directly to national and international crime prevention and investigation efforts.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical investigation and analysis of evidence materials (e.g., plastics, inks)
  • Experience in working within a valid Quality Management (QM) system
  • Experience in contributing to practical development and research tasks
