Job Summary

This critical role involves acting as the Responsible Electrical Specialist (VEFK) according to DIN VDE 1000-10, ensuring the safe and compliant operation of the electrical division within the Waterways and Shipping Authority Oberrhein in Freiburg im Breisgau. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing occupational safety related to electrical hazards, conducting risk assessments, developing work instructions, and organizing regular safety training for all electrical personnel. The specialist will also oversee the inspection and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment, manage budget planning, draft technical contributions for design and budget documents, and independently plan and execute smaller electrotechnical projects, including preparing tenders and evaluating bids. The ideal candidate must hold a Master Electrician or Electrical Technician qualification and possess at least three years of relevant professional experience, coupled with strong organizational skills and familiarity with procurement law.

Completed vocational training with further qualification as a Master Electrician or Electrical Technician

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in implementing electrotechnical guidelines
  • Experience in organizing and monitoring electrical safety and workforces
  • Experience with procurement law (VOB, UVgO, VgV) (desirable)
