Job Summary

This role offers an Informatics graduate a unique opportunity to apply advanced data analysis skills within the Criminal Investigation Directorate in Ludwigshafen, Germany. The Data Analyst will be part of the specialized Data Management/Financial Investigation unit, focusing on forensic analysis of large datasets, including mobile phone and geospatial data, to support complex criminal investigations ranging from mid-level crimes to homicides. Day-to-day tasks involve utilizing and modifying custom Python-based analysis tools, performing deep database analysis, visualizing findings, creating investigative reports, and potentially testifying in court. The position requires strong technical skills in Python, data visualization libraries, and SQL, coupled with the ability to identify complex data patterns and trends, contributing directly to solving crimes in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
