Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to actively shape the digital future of Bremen by driving innovation within the Geotopography and 3D Modeling department. The specialist will be responsible for developing and operating cutting-edge solutions in Geodata Management, Urban Data Platforms, and Cartography, contributing significantly to modern urban development and digital administration. Key responsibilities include designing user-oriented applications for visualizing and analyzing geo-data, specifically supporting the 'Digital Twin Bremen' initiative and the Masterportal. You will also lead the setup, optimization, and continuous development of a municipal data platform, implement complex ETL processes for data quality and integration, and modernize city cartography using tools like QGIS. Candidates must possess a degree in Geoinformatics or Computer Science, strong programming skills (Java/JavaScript, Python, HTML), and expertise in service-oriented architectures and spatial databases. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor/Dipl.-Ing. FH equivalent) in Geoinformatics or Computer Science.

Experience

  • Professional experience in applying programming languages (Java/JavaScript, Python, HTML)
  • Professional experience with service-oriented architectures, Web-APIs, and standardized interfaces (REST, OGC)
  • Experience in processing and integrating (Geo)data, ideally including ETL processes
  • Experience in developing user-centric visualization, analysis, or dashboard solutions
  • Advantageous: Experience in the conception and setup of data platforms
  • Advantageous: Experience in applying or integrating AI/Machine-Learning methods in software or data analysis projects
