Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced IT Specialist to lead the system and network administration for critical Federal Information Systems within the GeoInformation Agency in Bremen. Day-to-day responsibilities include the conception and realization of secure IT infrastructure, adhering strictly to Federal security requirements (VS-NfD). The specialist will manage contracts, oversee license management, and steer external IT service providers. A major component of the role involves advanced database administration, specifically for ORACLE systems, and serving as the central technical contact for federal and state agencies regarding the POL-database infrastructure. The specialist will also take the lead on all data security and privacy matters within the federal tasks. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science and several years of experience in planning complex infrastructures, database management, network/firewall management, and virtualization (VM Ware/HyperV).
