Job Summary

This role involves supporting the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) in the procurement, utilization, and strategic planning of cutting-edge IT infrastructure, focusing heavily on Cloud technology, data centers, and end-user devices. The specialist will be responsible for evaluating technological possibilities, preparing implementation plans for contractors, and developing strategic documents (including budgeting and requirements justification) within the ICU cluster program. Day-to-day tasks include drafting requirement documents, participating in national and international standardization committees, and contributing to concepts and regulations. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field, possesses proven project management experience (minimum three years), and is proficient in English (B2 level). This position offers stable employment within the public sector (E13 TVöD) with opportunities for professional development, flexible work arrangements including home office, and requires participation in regular domestic and international business travel.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, or comparable field.

Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience in project management
  • Professional experience in the field of study (desirable)
  • Experience in autonomous planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of projects (desirable)
  • Experience with the tasks and organizational structure of the Bundeswehr (desirable)
  • Experience with cross-sectionally deployed IT and software solutions (desirable)
