Job Summary
This role involves developing and simulating optical designs for cutting-edge technology solutions, primarily serving clients in the Optics and Life Science sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining beam paths through optical element specification, analyzing and selecting optical concepts while considering manufacturing costs, and collaborating closely with mechanical and electronics development teams on prototype creation. A key focus is ensuring designs meet tolerance and production requirements. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Physics, Physical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, Mathematics, or a comparable field, and possesses initial professional or practical experience in optical system development and simulation software like Zemax, Code V, OSLO, or MATLAB.
