Job Summary

As a Biologist in Pharmaceutical Pre-development, you will play a critical role in advancing downstream process development for recombinant cells and proteins. Your daily responsibilities include processing samples, recombinant cells, and cell culture media, while actively contributing to experimental study designs using Design of Experiments (DoE) and Quality by Design (QbD) principles. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and evaluation of sophisticated laboratory equipment for chromatography, filtration, and flow cytometry (High Throughput DSP). Beyond technical execution, you will maintain laboratory standards and equipment to ensure high-quality results. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in (Molecular) Biology, Chemistry, or another natural science field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in downstream processes within a pharmaceutical or life science context
  • Practical experience in handling samples including procurement, collection, preparation, and distribution
  • Experience in applying analytical methods and preparative laboratory work
  • Experience using statistical analysis software such as JMP or R and lab-specific software systems
