Job Summary

The City of Dessau-Roßlau is seeking a Lead Helpdesk Specialist and IT Systems Administrator to join their IT/Digitalization department. This permanent, full-time role involves the technical leadership of the IT Helpdesk, focusing on process and workflow development. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive IT system administration, covering monitoring and operation of infrastructure, server rooms, climate control, and UPS systems. Key technical duties involve managing Windows and Linux servers (virtual and physical), administering MS SQL and Oracle databases, and handling network administration tasks such as firewalls, switches, and WLAN. The successful candidate will also manage Active Directory for user and security policy administration and oversee software management using the Baramundi Management Suite.
