Job Summary

This Research Associate position, based at Saarland University's highly research-oriented campus, focuses on cutting-edge pharmaceutical drug research, specifically developing and characterizing neuronal and cardiac disease models. The successful candidate will systematically review current research, generate disease-specific models using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and modern genome editing techniques like CRISPR/Cas9, and establish and optimize differentiation protocols for various cell types. Day-to-day tasks involve planning and executing complex cell and molecular biology experiments, quantitative data analysis, and presenting findings at international conferences.
