Job Summary

This role involves cutting-edge applied research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern Bioanalytics within the CeMOS Research and Transfer Center. The successful candidate will develop and apply multimodal (spatial) Omics approaches as part of the BMFTR-funded project "SAM3 – Smart Applications for Multimodal Molecular Pattern Recognition." Day-to-day tasks include developing Multiomics platforms for cell, tissue, and drug bioanalytics, advancing technology platforms like MALDI and QCL-MIR Imaging, and performing complex data analysis using Python, R, and specialized software. A core focus is building AI-based data analysis procedures. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a completed PhD and proven experience in bioinformatics, instrumental analytics, and comprehensive programming skills, offering the opportunity to work in a high-caliber, interdisciplinary team with strong industry partnerships.

Very well completed PhD in Chemistry, Bio-/Chemical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or closely related fields

Experience

  • Proven experience in bioinformatics or related fields through relevant publications
  • Comprehensive programming skills (in Python and/or R)
  • Experience with Machine Learning methods/Deep Learning/Chemometrics
  • Proven experience in instrumental analytics through publications, specifically in optical spectroscopy or mass spectrometry
  • Experience working in international teams
