Job Summary

This interdisciplinary research position at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences focuses on the cutting-edge intersection of biotechnology, analytical chemistry, and artificial intelligence. As a PhD candidate, you will develop a multiplex online system for 'Online-Volatilomics' by monitoring fermentation exhaust gases using Gas Chromatography-Ion Mobility Spectrometry (GC-IMS). Your daily responsibilities include building reference analytics using GC-MS and LC-MS, developing AI-based data analysis models such as CNNs and GANs in Python, and creating synthetic data augmentation methods. You will also be responsible for student supervision and publishing research findings. Required Skills
