Job Summary

The Data Engineer will play a critical role in the conception and construction of a modern, scalable, and future-proof data platform within the healthcare sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining robust data architectures, databases, and large processing systems. A key focus will be on creating and monitoring data pipelines for efficient data transformation and delivery, as well as supporting the establishment of a comprehensive data catalog and designing data models for analytical purposes. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or Data Science, fundamental knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, or C#, and experience with ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Airbyte, Airflow, Spark, dbt, or Dagster. This position offers varied tasks, qualified onboarding, flexible working hours (37-hour week with flextime), and an unlimited contract within a company driving the digital transformation of patient records in Germany.

Experience

  • Professional experience in designing ETL/ELT processes
  • Professional experience in efficiently handling diverse database and storage systems
  • Experience in agile software development
  • Ideally, experience in the German healthcare sector or Health-IT/Medical Informatics
