Job Summary

This fixed-term, part-time Research Associate position (75%) is integral to the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) project "Extreme Light for Analysis and Control of Molecular Chirality (ELCH)." The successful candidate will independently conduct scientific work focused on understanding the shared origin of chiroptical properties in chiral molecules by perturbing functional groups or atomic elements. Key responsibilities include data evaluation, interpretation, numerical modeling, and writing scientific publications. The role involves investigating how changes in molecular structure or solvation induce simultaneous changes in multiple chiroptical properties, offering a novel way to quantify fragment influence. This position requires a completed university degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Nanostructure Sciences and offers the valuable opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree (PhD). Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory for success in this collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
