Job Summary

This role involves supporting the municipal drainage and sewage department, focusing on the technical execution and documentation of infrastructure projects. The Drainage Technician will manage small-scale construction and rehabilitation measures for sewers and structures, utilizing both open and trenchless construction methods. A core responsibility is establishing, maintaining, and developing the indirect discharger registry, alongside documenting and managing grease and light liquid separators. The technician will also handle the application and renewal of discharge permits, identify and resolve faulty discharges, and provide expert consultation to citizens and businesses regarding non-discharging pits and small sewage treatment plants. Success in this role requires a certified technical qualification in civil engineering or environmental protection technology, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office, with additional knowledge of CAD, GIS, and specialized drainage databases being highly advantageous.
