Job Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the digital future of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by developing and maintaining robust, secure, and efficient IT services. You will be instrumental in the German Mission Network (GMN) project, focusing on a management support system that guides command and control information systems through their entire lifecycle, from manufacturing to data center management and deployment planning. Key responsibilities include utilizing and integrating the software development platform into the BWI and customer system landscapes, evaluating and deploying new developer tools into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring platform security according to IT-Grundschutz standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in deployment automation using Ansible, Linux server administration, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker. This position requires a minimum of six years of post-graduate professional experience and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to Germany's security through challenging digitalization projects across various BWI locations nationwide.
