Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Development Engineer specializing in Hardware Verification for Electrical/Electronic (E/E) systems within the automotive sector, based in Kiel or Kassel. You will be instrumental in ensuring the functional safety and reliability of hardware modules, control units, and assemblies, adhering strictly to critical standards like IEC 61508 and ISO 26262. Day-to-day responsibilities include the functional verification of electronic circuits, commissioning microcontroller/microprocessor-based circuits, and creating comprehensive test concepts and environments for electrical, environmental, and EMC testing. The ideal candidate possesses several years of experience in hardware development or verification, strong analytical skills for complex electronic circuits, and the ability to formulate precise specifications. This position offers the opportunity to drive verification processes for safety-critical components and work closely with hardware development and quality departments, contributing significantly to product integrity.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences or University degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or comparable qualification (e.g., Technician)

Experience

  • Several years of experience in hardware development or hardware verification
  • Experience in methodological hardware or system development
  • Experience in developing safety-relevant assemblies according to ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 (desirable)
