Job Summary

The University of the Federal Armed Forces (UniBw) Munich is seeking a dedicated System Administrator to join its Data Center, focusing on the central IT infrastructure supporting teaching, research, and administration. This role involves working within the Linux department, administering and adapting the Campus Management System (CMS), specifically HISinOne, which manages the student lifecycle. Key responsibilities include Linux server/client system maintenance, development of new applications and interfaces, and technical project implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong service orientation, and proficiency in both German (C1) and English (B1). Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable, OR completed advanced training as Bachelor Professional IT Business Management and certified IT Project Manager (IHK)

Experience

  • Professional experience in Linux server/client system support and application system administration
  • Experience in the operation of large and complex IT systems, ideally with a focus on Campus Management (HIS e.G.) (Desirable)
  • Several years of experience in the support and development of web-based application systems (Desirable)
