Job Summary

This role is based within the IT Team at the Fraunhofer IEE in Kassel, contributing directly to the energy transition by maintaining and evolving the institute's robust IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, evaluation, and implementation of new IT solutions, focusing heavily on network and server environments. Key daily tasks include the administration and configuration of LAN/WLAN, enhancing the existing security architecture, specifically Network Access Control, and managing firewalls (Palo Alto, Barracuda). The position requires hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux environments, providing IT consultation to research departments, and ensuring strict adherence to data protection, IT security, and compliance guidelines.
