Job Summary
This role involves shaping pre-development projects for the aerospace industry by designing and implementing innovative digital technologies to optimize efficiency, quality, and robustness within Manufacturing Engineering. The System and Software Architect will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from requirements management and architecture design to prototyping, system integration, and technical project steering. A key focus is analyzing technological trends and transferring innovations from research into series production, requiring strong expertise in developing software applications with an engineering background. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a technology roadmap for their area, build an international network of experts, and apply advanced methods like UML/SysML. This position offers the opportunity to work on future-oriented technologies within a highly innovative, international environment at the CTC GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Airbus Operations GmbH, located near the Airbus plant in Stade.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
Experience
- Professional experience in developing system and software architectures, ideally within Manufacturing Engineering in aerospace
- Professional experience in planning and executing complex projects in Manufacturing Engineering, optimally in an international context
- Professional experience in system design, software development methods, and modeling (e.g., UML, SysML)
- Professional experience in metrological process development and automation (e.g., in PolyWorks)
- Professional experience in high-level programming (Python, Java, etc.) with corresponding project references
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel occasionally to domestic and international customers; INCOSE or SE-ZERT certification is desirable; Commitment to compliance and integrity.
