Job Summary

This role is for a State-Certified Environmental Technician to join a public environmental authority focused on water management in the Main-Rhön region. The professional will primarily support the 'Hydrology, Monitoring, Warning Services' team in quality assurance for the state's qualitative groundwater monitoring network. Key day-to-day responsibilities include performing field sampling of groundwater and surface waters, determining on-site parameters, managing sample shipment to external laboratories, and executing analytical quality assurance (AQS) measures. The role also involves data management, including correcting and maintaining data records within internal water databases (BIS, WISKI, GWA, Info-Was). The ideal candidate must hold a relevant technical qualification, possess practical experience in groundwater and surface water sampling, and demonstrate strong communication skills in German (C1 level minimum).
