Job Summary

This role involves critical environmental protection work within a regional water authority, focusing on the surveillance of industrial and commercial wastewater facilities and the investigation of contaminated sites (Altlastenerkundung). Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent organization, execution, and documentation of official monitoring for complex industrial wastewater systems, including on-site sampling and analysis. The specialist will assess process and plant technologies against the state of the art, write detailed monitoring reports, and manage correspondence with plant operators and other authorities. A key requirement is a degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, coupled with strong analytical skills and knowledge of water and soil protection laws. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor of Engineering or Science (B.Eng./B.Sc.) or equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, Environmental Protection, or comparable fields.

Experience

  • Professional experience in wastewater treatment techniques and process engineering is desirable
  • Experience in handling chemicals or wastewater samples
  • Readiness for scheduled field service activities
