Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate or Doctoral Candidate to join the Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience Chair at TU Dresden, one of Germany's top research institutions. The primary goal of the role is to investigate how changes in the sensory thalamus and its connections to the cerebral cortex affect sensory processing in Autism. Day-to-day tasks involve developing and programming experiments, conducting neuroscientific investigations using high-resolution functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and diffusion-weighted data, analyzing behavioral and MRI data, and writing scientific publications. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or Medicine, possesses strong clinical-psychological experience, and has experience working with special populations, particularly those on the Autism spectrum. This fixed-term position (3 years, 75% time) offers the chance for scientific qualification (typically a PhD) within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, supported by excellent infrastructure including a dedicated research-grade Neuroimaging Centre.
