Job Summary

This role is centered on protecting the digital infrastructure of the City of Offenbach's administration, which includes managing over 2,200 workstations and extensive server infrastructure. The expert will be responsible for the planning, administration, and optimization of the cross-location network (LAN/WLAN/MAN), firewall, and proxy systems, with a strong focus on IT security and vulnerability management. Key tasks involve implementing and maintaining security solutions (Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, SIEM, PKI), conducting IT audits, and promoting security competence among staff through training and awareness measures. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in IT or a related field, comprehensive knowledge of IT security principles, network technologies, and practical experience with securing IT networks.
