Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in road planning and design to join the Planning Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, control, and coordination of new construction, expansion, modification, and maintenance projects for federal highways and infrastructure. Key day-to-day tasks include developing all necessary planning documents, coordinating stakeholders, and managing projects covering scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and financial oversight. A crucial element of the role involves creating and coordinating 3D/BIM models for integrated overall planning and managing engineering contracts, including invoicing and change order management. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in road planning, multi-year professional experience in road projects, and expert knowledge of relevant German construction, planning, and procurement laws. Fluency in German (C2 level) and proficiency with CAD applications like iTWO civil, CARD/1, or VESTRA-CAD are essential.
