Job Summary
This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing electric drive systems and their control functions for Daimler Buses, contributing to the future of sustainable public transport. The Component Owner will be responsible for the conception, design, and simulation of e-drive systems, ensuring performance KPIs are met in real-world applications. Key responsibilities include analyzing performance metrics using digital vehicle data, coordinating with eMotor suppliers to meet vehicle requirements, and collaborating closely with internal teams (Software, Hardware, System Architecture, Testing). The position requires a university degree in a relevant engineering field and at least two years of experience in drive system development, simulation, and the integration of high-voltage (HV) components, utilizing state-of-the-art simulation tools like Simulink and DiVe. Education
University degree in Vehicle Technology, Drive Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable studies
Experience
- 2+ years in drive system development
- 2+ years in simulation and design of drives and mechatronic systems
- Professional experience in the integration of eDrive components and system release
- Professional experience in the development of HV components
- Professional experience collaborating with development suppliers or service providers
