Job Summary

This doctoral position in Astrophysics focuses on investigating the complex chemical processes within protostars, specifically the interplay between warm carbon chain chemistry (WCCC) and hot corino chemistry. The successful candidate will analyze high-resolution observational data from submillimeter telescopes, coupled with advanced chemical models, to understand the universality of 'hybrid' protostellar chemistry. Key responsibilities include determining the degree of deuteration in various molecular species, gaining insights into temperature structures and evolutionary stages, and reconstructing the temporal evolution and chemical history of protostellar systems. This role offers the opportunity to work within a vibrant, international research group, contributing to cutting-edge research in star formation and interstellar medium studies.
