Job Summary
The Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research (CGA) is offering up to 12 fully funded PhD positions for highly motivated and talented researchers. This structured PhD training program, conducted in English, focuses on cutting-edge ageing research within an outstanding international environment. Successful candidates will engage in interdisciplinary research, benefiting from dedicated supervision, comprehensive academic guidance, and individual career mentoring. The program provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of Europe's most prestigious ageing research clusters while living in the vibrant city of Cologne. The initial work contracts are for at least three years, with competitive remuneration based on German public sector pay scales.
Required Skills
Education
MSc or equivalent degree in Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Genetics, Medical Biology, Translational Medicine, or related fields
Experience
- Professional experience in research, particularly in ageing research
- Excellent academic performance in BSc and MSc studies
