Job Summary
This role involves critical project administration and financial controlling for externally funded research projects at the Institute for Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering at TU Braunschweig. The specialist will be responsible for the commercial processing and monitoring of third-party funds, including generating regular fund requests and annual statements of use, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines, and reconciling data with SAP/R3. Key duties also include processing invoices, monitoring institutional state funds, and managing personnel matters. The ideal candidate must possess experience in project fund administration, preferably within a research setting, strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and excellent communication skills in both German and English to handle project-related correspondence and provide financial advice during project applications. This is a part-time (75%), fixed-term position with the aim of permanent employment.

Education
Successful completion of Administrative Training Course I (Verwaltungslehrgang I) or equivalent vocational training (e.g., Administrative Specialist, Office Communication Specialist, Office Management Clerk) obtained from a public employer, OR a Bachelor's degree in a field with predominantly administrative, economic, legal, social science, or political science content.

- The position is initially fixed-term for two years, based on § 14 Abs. 2 Teilzeit- und Befristungsgesetz (Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act), meaning applicants must not have had a prior employment relationship with the State of Lower Saxony (excluding training periods).
