Job Summary

This exciting opportunity is for a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Research Intern to join Agroscope, the Swiss Confederation's competence center for agricultural and food research. Based in Zurich, you will play a crucial role in ongoing research projects focused on reducing agricultural GHG emissions and assessing climate change risks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting field measurements, utilizing and monitoring specialized equipment, processing raw data, and calculating emission values. You will also handle laboratory processing of soil and plant samples. The ideal candidate holds a recently obtained university degree (within the last 12 months) in natural sciences, possesses a strong interest in agriculture and climate issues, and has programming experience, preferably using R. This role offers a unique blend of practical field experience and essential data analysis within a high-impact federal research environment.
