Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to climate change mitigation within the agricultural sector by representing Agroscope in the international EU-Horizon project, ClimateSmartResearch (CSR). The successful candidate will coordinate activities focused on validating innovative, climate-smart farming practices. Key responsibilities include scientifically evaluating and assessing new practices, performing model-based estimations of their impact and potential for implementation, and supporting the development of the ADAPT research platform. The role requires a PhD in Agricultural, Environmental, or Climate Sciences, deep knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies, and experience in agricultural emissions modeling or inventorying. Required Skills

Education

University degree with PhD (Doctorate) in Agricultural, Environmental, or Climate Sciences (or a related discipline)

Experience

  • Professional experience in modeling, balancing, or inventorying agricultural emissions.
  • In-depth knowledge regarding measures for greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to climate change in agriculture.
  • Experience in organization and strong communication skills for working within a large, international consortium.
