Job Summary
This role involves supporting the scientific research infrastructure at the Institute for Molecular Biology within the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG). The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent management of laboratory materials, including ordering, and providing crucial support to scientific staff. Key day-to-day tasks include independently conducting experiments, developing and applying analytical techniques, and managing samples and databases. The position requires formal training as a BTA, MTLA, or Biological Laboratory Technician, coupled with practical experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and/or cell culture. Experience with RNA isolation, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and sequencing techniques is a plus. This is a full-time, two-year limited contract with a possible extension, offering autonomous work within an international, collaborative team environment focused on excellent research.
