Job Summary

This role is crucial for advancing translational research and the digitalization of oncological care within the Comprehensive Cancer Center (G-CCC) in Göttingen. The specialist will primarily focus on developing and optimizing digital support systems, particularly within the IMAGINE Niedersachsen project, aimed at harmonizing cross-sectoral cancer care workflows to ensure standardized, high-quality patient treatment. Day-to-day tasks involve extending the tumor documentation system via plugin development, creating data exchange interfaces between various clinical systems, and implementing data processing tools and scripts. Key qualifications include a university degree in Informatics, Bioinformatics, or a related field, strong programming skills (Python, Java, SQL), and experience operating applications within complex infrastructure environments like Docker and Linux. This position offers the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team at one of Germany's leading oncological centers, contributing to model-setting digital healthcare solutions.
