Job Summary

This role involves working as a technical assistant or laboratory technician, supporting a junior research group within the Institute for Auditory Neurosciences. The institute focuses on molecular research into the fundamentals of hearing and translating these findings into clinical applications for hearing restoration. Day-to-day tasks are centered around the preparation and execution of scientific experiments. Key responsibilities include managing various cell cultures (such as HEK cells, stem cells, and insect cells), performing molecular biology techniques (including DNA/RNA/protein purification, qPCR, Western Blot, and cloning), and utilizing histological methods like immunohistochemistry and automated analysis. The successful candidate must have completed professional training as a Technical Assistant (MTA, BTA, PTA) or Laboratory Technician, possess a good technical understanding, and demonstrate a self-reliant, careful, and reliable approach. This is an engaging, responsible, and temporary position within an innovative, international team.
