Job Summary

This critical role involves leading and coordinating the School Digitalization Department, managing a team of seven, within the Rostock District administration. The Head of Department is responsible for the continuous development and updating of the media development plan for the district's schools, ensuring the implementation of the IT strategy in line with media education concepts. Daily tasks include acting as the primary contact for school management, steering external service providers, and overseeing the planning of IT infrastructure for new and renovated school buildings and sports facilities. The position requires a degree in Computer Science or a related field with proven professional experience, strong leadership potential (with an option for a two-year probationary leadership period if no prior experience exists), and expertise in IT infrastructure management, procurement processes, IT security, and data protection.
