Job Summary
This role seeks an engaged Research Technical Assistant or Biologist to join a highly motivated, interdisciplinary team focused on the neurobiology and plasticity of the auditory system, particularly utilizing rat models and cutting-edge Cochlear Implant technology. The position involves a broad spectrum of experimental lab work, including tissue preparation, histological and immunohistological staining, advanced microscopy, and assisting with animal behavior studies and perfusions. A key component is taking responsibility for the independent planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments, alongside crucial organizational tasks like material management and training new staff. Candidates must possess relevant technical or biological qualifications, practical experience in neurobiological or molecular biological methods, and strong communication skills, including good English proficiency, to contribute to innovative research with direct clinical relevance. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training (BTA, VTA, MTA) or a University Degree in Biology or a comparable field.
Experience
- Practical experience in neurobiological or molecular biological methods
- Experience or strong interest in working with animal models
