Job Summary

This role seeks a highly motivated Scientific Doctoral Researcher to join the interdisciplinary MatriPath-Lab at the University Hospital Freiburg's Institute for Clinical Pathology. The core research focuses on understanding the Tumor Microenvironment (TME) in clear cell renal cell carcinoma, specifically investigating the reciprocal interactions between the extracellular matrix and TME cells within the context of SFB 1453. Daily responsibilities include applying a diverse methodological portfolio, encompassing primary cell isolation, advanced multiplex immunofluorescence microscopy, ex vivo tumor modeling, and utilizing CRISPR/Cas9 modification techniques. Candidates must possess a strong Master's degree in Life Sciences, coupled with excellent foundational knowledge in molecular and cell biology. Experience in image analysis and fluorescence microscopy is essential. This position offers a supportive, highly interdisciplinary environment with a strong translational focus, utilizing state-of-the-art laboratory technology.
