Job Summary

This role seeks a highly motivated Doctoral Candidate or Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research team at the Institute for Clinical Pathology, University Hospital Freiburg. The position focuses on characterizing and functionally deciphering disease mechanisms of glomerular pathologies using Spatial Biology methods, supported by a DFG grant. The successful candidate will utilize a comprehensive methodological portfolio, including in vitro techniques (CRISPR/Cas9), in vivo models, and in situ approaches, with a strong emphasis on Multiplex Immunofluorescence analysis. Key requirements include a strong background in Molecular and Cell Biology, experience in image analysis (e.g., QuPath, CellProfiler), and mandatory FELASA B certification for animal experimentation. This translational research role offers a supportive environment and access to state-of-the-art laboratory technology.
