Job Summary

This position calls for a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin-Steglitz, focusing on the specialized field of transparent ceramics based on nanoparticles. The successful candidate will conduct core research activities including investigating the transparency of ceramics, analyzing particle growth during the sintering process, performing sintering experiments on test specimens, and examining the resulting sinter structure. Key responsibilities also involve structured data management using an electronic laboratory notebook, publishing research findings, presenting at conferences, and mentoring students. This role requires a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or Engineering, coupled with practical experience in ceramic materials, additive manufacturing, and handling organic chemicals.
