Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Materials Engineer to act as a key consultant across various departments, including manufacturing, development, and purchasing, focusing specifically on aerospace components. Day-to-day responsibilities involve providing expert guidance and supplier qualification related to non-destructive testing (NDT), materials, and specialized processes. You will be instrumental in introducing new materials and processes, meticulously analyzing and evaluating metallic aerospace materials from their raw state (forgings, castings) through to the finished product. A core function is the validation and approval of material conditions following mechanical processing and special treatments like welding, heat treatment, and surface finishing. This position is attractive for professionals with a background in materials technology who wish to ensure the highest quality standards in aerospace manufacturing, requiring fluency in both German and English.
