Job Summary

This specialized role focuses on the development and engineering of advanced laser systems and laser sources for multifunctional applications within a global digital engineering consultancy. The System Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle, including coordinating and supporting the design, testing, and verification of laser sources and systems in a laboratory environment. A key component of the job involves acting as the primary technical interface for interdisciplinary teams covering mechanics, optics, electronics, and software, as well as external development partners. Furthermore, the role requires proactive technology scouting and evaluation based on product-relevant applications, alongside analyzing and optimizing requirements and verification processes for laser sensors. Successful candidates must bring a strong academic background in Physics or Engineering and practical experience coupled with specific knowledge of solid-state, fiber, and diode laser technologies, ensuring a structured and solution-oriented approach to complex system challenges.
