Job Summary

This role involves the central operation and monitoring of technical systems and server infrastructure within the university's technical building management department. The specialist will be responsible for maintenance, network administration (including operating systems and updates), and the development and ongoing operation of the technical network, specifically focusing on implementing and advancing BACnet protocols. Key tasks include analyzing system weaknesses, troubleshooting technical faults, creating system schematics for visualization on the Building Management System (BMS), and documenting work in the CAFM system. The ideal candidate should have a background in IT system electronics, electrical engineering, or automation technology, coupled with professional experience in network administration and building control systems. Participation in an on-call duty rotation is required, offering a stable, full-time, and permanent position within a dynamic university environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in IT System Electronics, Electrical Engineering (e.g., Automation Technology Electrician, Building Systems Electrician), or State Certified Technician in Building System Technology or Automation Technology

Experience

  • Professional experience in the administration of computer systems and networks
  • Professional experience in Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Experience in Building Control Systems at the management level (e.g., Siemens Desigo Insight, Visonik Insight, GfR Webvision) desirable
  • Experience in control cabinet construction desirable
