Job Summary
This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated physicist to pursue a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, focusing on Lattice Gauge Theory at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. The role involves combining analytical reasoning with rigorous code development, data acquisition, and complex data analysis to advance research in elementary particle physics. Key responsibilities include presenting findings at national and international conferences and participating in teaching activities. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Physics and demonstrate experience with lattice simulations and data analysis. Experience with proprietary lattice code and programming languages like Fortran, C, C++, MATLAB, Julia, or Python is highly advantageous. This is a fixed-term, part-time (67%) qualifying position designed specifically to support the doctoral process.
