Job Summary

This Research Associate position, suitable for a Doctoral Candidate or Post-Doc, is based at the University of Wuppertal, focusing on cutting-edge research in Organic and Perovskite-based solar cells. The core responsibilities involve the hands-on manufacturing and optimization of these solar devices, coupled with detailed optical and electronic characterization of the raw materials. A significant aspect of the role is integrating advanced technology by driving process automation and optimization using machine learning and artificial intelligence, including automated data generation for training neural networks. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and constructing novel measurement and processing technology and managing existing infrastructure. This role requires a Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant engineering or science field (e.g., Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering) and strong foundational knowledge in semiconductor electronics and technology. It offers a unique opportunity for scientific qualification within a collaborative research team working closely with both AI developers and industrial partners.
